Twilight actor and teenage heart-throb Robert Pattinson drew breath from preparing to film orgy scenes with a room full of women in Kent.

Pattinson, who stops women in droves on an hourly basis, plays Georges Duroy, a journalist who must bed his way to the top in decadent 19th Century France in Bel Ami. Uma Thurman
plays opposite the Twilight star in the movie that is based on the classic novel by Guy de Maupassant.

The Sun newspaper reported the young British star was taking a break before the orgy scenes, which will be filmed in Kent at a Victorian water pump house that will morph into a chandeliered dining room – French style.

Pattinson, who is seeing Kristen Stewart, recently told MTV: 'There's a lot of sex in [Bel Ami]. [The film] is like the complete antithesis of what you normally think period dramas are about. In Paris, everybody was just going nuts. It was like the 1980s. Sex was a kind of a weapon and a tool, and it's odd. It's incredibly different. The [sex scenes] in Remember Me are pretty tender, and in Bel Ami there's something very mercenary about it in a lot of ways.'

Meanwhile, a movie insider told the Sun: 'In Twilight it's all pent-up passion. But these scenes will leave nothing to the imagination. It will be tastefully done with lots of candlelights and lace but it will be the sexiest thing he's ever been seen in and will get his female fans even more excited.'
