Robert Pattinson Inspires Underwear Line Named "R-Pants"
Twi-hards aren't the only ones who want to get into Robert Pattinson's pants. British department store Marks & Spencer announced plans to launch an underwear line inspired by Robert Pattinson's tight trouser look named R-Pants, the Guardian reports.
The collection will include low-rise briefs and trunks designed for a slim fit, meaning they won't bunch up under tight pants like the kind that R-Patz and the hipster types typically wear (though, despite zooming on his photo 400 percent in Photoshop, it can not be confirmed that he wears briefs). They hit stores in September.
And while the line is inspired by R-Patz, he's not officially involved, nor will he be part of its ad campaign. Sigh. Our dreams of seeing him lounging in his manderwear are crushed! Though, if he was, we imagine the ads would look a little something like this (see right). Only with less pecs.
+ Would you buy Robert Pattinson-inspired underwear? Should he be the face of an underwear line?

Robert Pattinson update: 'Twilight' star talks love, fans, and 'Water for Elephants' (video)

The star of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse and Remember Me, Robert Pattinson, in a new interview discusses his upcoming film, Water for Elephants.
Pattinson says: "There is a moment in your early 20s where up until that point nothing feels real, or I am just faking all of my emotions. And then suddenly, there actually comes a point where you can accept that you love someone, or I am jealous of something."
Pattinson discusses shooting scenes for Remember Me: "We would be shooting in Cental Park and 3-and-a-half-thousand people would show up, or something like that. Eventually, you can just get to a point where you can completely block it out, and don't even realize that it is there."
Pattinson continues on the subject of films: "There are certain things you can do in films when you are acting that you just can't do in reality. I guess I sort of use the industry for that type of thing."
Pattinson discusses his upcoming film, Water for Elephants: "Like I am doing a film in the summer that is working with a bunch of exotic animals. And I just think you are never going to be able to do that in reality. I have very mundane kind of reasons for choosing a film - 'I want to work with an elephant.'"

Robert to get his teeth into music

Robert Pattinson has revealed he wants to record a music album.
The Twilight star, who plays the piano and guitar and composes his own music, fancies pursuing his musical ambitions but has doubts about multi-tasking.
"I kind of want to do one at the end of the year - all my friends are recording albums and I'm very annoyed about it, but I can't do two things at once," he told Parade.com.
"I don't know how people like Jennifer Lopez can act and also sing. I'm just like, 'I can't'. But, hopefully, I'll find some time to get it together."
Robert, whose two songs featured on the Twilight soundtrack, has said previously that music was his fallback, should the acting jobs dry up.
"Music is my back-up plan if acting fails. I don't want to put all my eggs in one basket," he has said.
Robert next appears in Remember Me with Pierce Brosnan and will reprise his role as vampire Edward Cullen in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, released in July.

Robert Pattinson: 'I Don't Remember the Last Time I Asked Someone on a Date'

Fear not, Twilight fans. This June, Robert Pattinson will be back in theaters as Hollywood's hottest vampire, Edward Cullen, in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.
Meanwhile, you can catch him making love and war as troubled college student Tyler in the indie drama Remember Me. Parade.Pattinson would like to be more like his character, who doesn't hold back his emotions.
The dating game.
"When it comes to the opposite sex, I'm not as fully confident as the guy I play. I don't even remember the last time I asked someone out on a date, like, just went up to them and that's the first thing I did. I'm much more self-conscious and not wanting to fail. So I tend to hold back."
Ditto with unleashing his macho side.
"I related to Tyler in that I wish I could have done things like he did when I had the opportunity. There is something quite satisfying about being a little bit more reckless and even fighting. It's quite cathartic to just sort of randomly start hitting someone. It was fun kind of, letting all your rage go on the set. We had this big scene where I punch out some guys. It went fine and nobody was really hurt at all. But, at the end, I was like doing this thing where I was hitting myself in the arm, sort of pumping myself up. They cut it out of the movie, but I punched myself so hard that I was in a lot of pain for the rest of the shoot. It was the most stupid thing I've ever done."
He's felt the pain before.
"I got beaten up by a lot of people when I was younger. I was a bit of an idiot, but I always thought the assaults were unprovoked. It was after I first started acting and I liked to behave like an actor, or how I thought an actor was supposed to be, and that apparently provoked a lot of people into hitting me."
What he learned from Pierce Brosnan.
"We went out to dinner in a restaurant full of all these guys who looked like bankers or brokers. They didn't recognize me, but they recognized Pierce. And he said, 'Notice those people looking over?' I'm sitting there getting more and more self-conscious, even though I didn't realize they weren't looking at me. Suddenly, Pierce got up and introduced himself to everybody in the restaurant. At first I was like, 'What are you doing? You're like completely insane.' But it worked. Everybody just relaxed and stopped staring and you could tell they were going to go home and say, 'Pierce is such a nice guy.'"
No problem with being compared to James Dean.
"I think he was like the most influential person for young guys, especially actors, in the last 50 years. So yeah, I mean, I'm not ashamed to say I am very much influenced by him."
Facing up to the pressure of the box office.
"It's like a kind of a monster thing. The more people think they know you, the more you're identified with a certain kind of role. People always used to ask me about typecasting and I never had to really worry about it. You think people will judge you by your work. But the truth is, it's about whether the film you're in makes money or not. And if it's not making money, they're like, 'Oh, he's over.'"
His ultimate goal.
"You keep trying to make your name stand for something other than just like meaningless celebrity. It's a difficult battle, but I think people like Johnny Depp have done that. He's not judged by his public image, it's just his acting that counts. To get to that place takes a lot of discipline and a lot of hiding."

Robert Pattinson flattered by James Dean comparisons

ROBERT Pattinson loves being compared to James Dean.
The Twilight hunk insists it isn’t a “bad thing” that people liken him to the late Hollywood star.
“I don’t think that’s a bad thing at all, quite the opposite in fact. I think James Dean was one of the most influential people to young guys, especially actors, definitely in the last fifty years,” says Rob.
“I’m not ashamed to say, ‘yeah, I am very much influenced by him’ and to be even in the same ball park as him is amazing.”
Rob, 23, recently revealed he tries his best not to react when he’s being followed by the paparazzi.
“It’s just sort of learning how to blank things out,” he said. “But you can’t look up. Because then all the cameras accelerate.
“You know, you can’t smile, or behave normally.
“You just have to be disciplined about it.”

The wax figure of the British heartthrob will be revealed in March, ahead of the release of his latest film, Remember Me, in early April.
The studios team are busy recreating R-Pattz’s trademark sultry expression and messy hair, whilst the figure’s outfit will reflect his rugged style with an open collared shirt and skinny trousers. The figure making process takes four months of intense work to complete at a cost of £150,000.

Robert Pattinson Probably Not Attending the Oscars (Sigh)

His fellow Twilight castmates Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner are presenting at Sunday’s Oscars, but will everyone’s favorite vamp Robert Pattinson be in attendance at Hollywood’s biggest night? Sorry to disappoint Twi-hards — it doesn’t look like R-Pattz is going to make it. According to Oscars co-producer Adam Shankman, however, Robert was definitely on the guest list, and it wasn’t for a lack of trying that the brooding, sexy actor won’t dazzle the carpet.
“I think the Pattinson community is going insane,” Adam Shankman told E! News last night at Vanity Fair’s FEED Foundation and Hungry in America Project event. “All I want to say is, ‘He’s not available!’ ”
As his fans are well aware of, Rob is currently in NYC promoting his new romantic drama Remember Me, and kicked off his TV press junket for the film this morning on the Today Show.
So, why not just fly back to the West coast after promoting in the Big Apple?
Unfortunately, Rob has to jet right back to Europe to continue shooting Bel Ami.
“It’s not like we snubbed him,” Shankman told E! News. “It’s not like we said no to him. We asked him to be in the show. We tried really really hard to get him there. We were working on getting Summit to fly him in for the day, but eventually it became too much.”
Well at least we get our R-Pattz fill this week — his upcoming interviews:
Late Night with Jimmy Fallon: Mar. 1 at 12:35 a.m.
The View: Mar. 2 at 11 a.m. – Rob and co-star Emilie de Ravin will sit down with the ladies to chat about their film, Remember Me, hitting theaters Mar. 12.

Robert Pattinson Comes Out ... About His Relationship With Kristen Stewart

After arriving separately and sitting apart from each other at Sunday's BAFTA awards, Robert Pattinson finally admitted that he and Kristen Stewart are a couple, and that all of their secretive antics are just to avoid crazed press and fans. "It is extremely difficult but we are here together, yes … We can't arrive at the same time because of the fans. It goes crazy. This was supposed to be a public appearance as a couple but it's impossible. We are here together and it's a public event but it's not easy." We wonder how Stewart feels about him being "allergic to vagina." Kellan Lutz, meanwhile, is promoting pet adoption for PETA, recounting the poignant story of how he met his rescue dog, Kola. "I touched her toe and said, 'Hey, what's your name?' … She spoke to me." LiLo tweeted that she's moving to England. God save the U.K. Anna Wintour, Harper's Bazaar's Glenda Bailey, and Times critic Cathy Horyn donned 3-D glasses to watch a live broadcast of London's Burberry Prorsum show, where Kristen Stewart, Kate Hudson, Mary-Kate Olsen, and Claire Danes sat front-row across the pond. And Brangelina continue their efforts to stage life as a happily married couple by shoving their tongues down each other's throats in front of the paparazzi.
Back in the day when Lady Gaga was just a pants-wearing (we assume) NYU student, she wrote her thesis on photographer Spencer Tunick, the artist famous for his group gatherings in the nude. Now Tunick wants to study Gaga in return. Though J.Lo would have you think her split from Sony Music was voluntary, turns out the label dropped her after her last two singles, "Louboutins" and "Fresh Out of the Oven," flopped. Charlie Sheen checked into rehab, and as a result, CBS's Two and a Half Men is on temporary suspension. But friends swear Sheen's stay is only a precautionary measure; he's "just tired and worried about his wife, his court case and his kids." Megan Fox knows how to touch Mickey Rourke. He claims she's the most talented actress he's worked with, and that people only criticize her because she's beautiful. "When she cries in a scene, I get emotional."
Though Beatrice-in-the-making Kenmare doesn't open to the "public" until next month, it's already in trouble with State Liquor Authority officials. They were shocked to read about the locale's late-night underground antics when it was billed to them as a low-key restaurant with a midnight closing time. Paul Sevigny also joined models Jamie Burke and Lily Donaldson to celebrate East Village club Lit's eighth anniversary, where NYU girls were "going nuts" for porn star Ron Jeremy. To celebrate gourmet food purveyor D'Artagnan's 25th Anniversary, superchefs like Daniel Boulud and Tom Colicchio joined Nobu and Corton proprietor Drew Nieporent onstage at Guastavino, "jamming pretty hard" to covers of "Takin' Care of Business" and "Ça Plane Pour Moi." Though Padma Lakshmi has never confirmed that Adam Dell is the father of her child, Dell is "happy to assume paternal responsibility." And on the TMI front, Khloe Kardashian says that though she's not on the pill, she and Lamar Odom are in no rush to procreate, which is a shame for television's sake, but probably not the potential baby's.
Holy Rollers, club promoter "Danny A" Abeckaser's Sundance flick about New York Hasidic Jews who venture into ecstasy dealing, was just picked up by First Independent Pictures and will hit theaters this summer. An Avenue Q bus-stop ad in Colorado Springs had to be taken down because it showed too much puppet cleavage. JWOWW assured fans that she's not increasing the size of her breast implants, though she may replace her saline for the more lifelike silicone. Dakota Fanning pulled a Jenny Humphrey and donned shredded tights and a miniskirt in honor of her sweet sixteen. She also paired her flowered backpack with a Balenciaga bag. Kelly Osbourne says she "took more hell" for being overweight than for her raging drug addiction, and we're not surprised.

BBC says the frenzy for Robert outdid that for Prince William

While Firth attracted a whoop of delight from fans braving the star-studded stretch of upholstery, their baying screams were reserved for a man not even in contention for acting honours.
Twilight star Robert Pattinson was the object of their frenzied adoration, while it was left to girlfriend Kristen Stewart to give them a nod after winning the Rising Star award.
"They are the most devoted and attentive fans," said the American actress, who may well have their votes to thank for her success.
Robert Pattinson drew the biggest screams
Pattinson outdid another young man who gave this year's Baftas a special touch that only the Oscars could dream about.
Prince William, the new president of Bafta, stopped to have pictures taken with fans.

Pierce Brosnan has some advice for Robert!

You’re also in another film coming out opposite Robert Pattinson. Did your younger daughters ask you for an introduction?
There was many a friend and relative and young lady who would come and visit me. The list was long and the girls were many on the streets of New York City and his motor home was the epicenter of beautiful girls. My motor home down the avenue was quiet…when I started doing Bond there was a wonderful publicist that told me: “grace under pressure.” I said the same thing to Robert: “grace under pressure.” Celebrate it and enjoy it.

Robert Pattinson: I’ll Never Live Up To Edward Cullen

Robert Pattinson knows that Edward Cullen is quite possibly the perfect guy — but that doesn’t mean he is.
The 23-year-old actor revealed to TIME mag, saying, “There’s no living up to it. I think the major fear is just fighting too hard against it. Most people who have a downfall from a like situation is when they do try to fight, and fight and fight: I’m not this teenybopper person, blah, blah, blah. Even if a lot of people see me and the franchise as like that, I never have, at any point. But I don’t feel the need to fight against it.”
Rob continued, “I’ve never tried to pander to any kind of audience. I’ve tried to make the films as intelligent and uncheesy as you could. And I’ve tried to make them the best they can be. I’ve never thought about it any other way. So I hope that pays off.”
